for caramel:

  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 270 grams (2/3 cup) corn syrup
  • 270 grams ( 1.25 cups ) brown sugar

Cook over medium heat then add in

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 5 grams (3/4 teaspoon) baking soda
